And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)
I was reminded today that my faith pleases God. In fact, I cannot please Him without it.
So when I don't understand why things happen, and I want to work it out so I "get" it . . . my faith kicks in and I am content to let God be in charge. He is pleased.
So when I pray and I am not getting an answer, rather than getting frustrated, I rely on my faith in the One who is writing history from beginning to end to beginning. He is pleased.
So when I am discouraged and want to throw in the towel, my faith keeps me going just a little longer, knowing that He who began a good work in me is able to complete it. He is pleased.
Want to please God? Give up trying to have all the answers to theological questions like suffering, and answered or unanswered prayer, and how God works in this world. If you could understand Him, He wouldn't be much of a God, would He? Have faith in those things you can't comprehend or see. Be a God pleaser!
